摘要: Abstract The plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) method is one of the most promising methods for formation oxide coatings on metallic substrates. This process usually conducted in an aqueous solution electrolyte; however, it has several disadvantages, such as heating-up system and undesired chemical components. study addresses these disadvantages by conducting a molten salt electrolyte. surface morphology, phase composition, hydrophobicity, effects current frequency were examined. Thin titanium oxide, rutile anatase, coating 2–2.5 μm was formed treated Ti-6Al-4V alloys. potentiodynamic polarization test evaluated highest resistance alloy obtained using 150 Hz which 364×104 Ω·cm2 comparison with pristine 6.93×104 Ω·cm2. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy revealed same behavior. Morphology evaluation that structure this contained uniform sub-micron porosity its exhibited hydrophobicity.
