Dye-Surfactant Interactions Studied Using Job's Method

摘要: Interactions between the anionic dye Acid Orange 7 and two cationic surfactants N- cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC1) cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTMABr) in aqueous solutions far below CMC are studied using method of continuous variations, also called Job's method. Light absorbance visible spectral range is measured. Both form stable associates with acid dye. suitable for determining stoichiometric composition equilibrium association constants studied. The molar binding ratio both surfactant/dye 1:1. calculated high (about 106), indicating strong interactions. From at different temperatures ( 15, 25, 35°C), corresponding thermodynamic functions ΔG 0, ΔH0, ΔS0 ob tained.
