摘要: Liquid composite molding is broadly used for manufacturing parts. Apart from the preforming of dry fibrous material, mold filling and curing resin are main steps in process. For process simulation numerical methods, like finite element methods applied. Flow models describing flow behavior through a porous medium well established. The ability to predict monitor liquid crucial optimization case application rapid systems. Based on differential scanning calorimetry rheological experiments, cure kinetics viscosity system were characterized. A new kinetic complex model proposed epoxy properties modeling molding. semi-empirical simple use therefore suitable an industrial environment. Both validated by fitting experimental data Levenberg-Marquardt method. determine initial values procedure also proposed. predictions good agreement with measured data, applicable optimization.
