摘要: Energy detection has been for long constituting the most popular sensing method in RADAR and cognitive radio systems. The present paper investigates behaviour of an energy detector over Hoyt fading channels, which have extensively shown to provide rather accurate characterization enriched multipath conditions. To this end, a simple series representation exact closed-form expression are firstly derived corresponding average probability conventional single-channel communication scenario. These expressions subsequently employed deriving novel analytic results case both collaborative square-law selection diversity reception. relatively tractable algebraic renders them convenient handle analytically numerically. As result, they can be utilized quantifying effect based spectrum determination trade-offs between performance efficiency communications. Based on this, it is that depends highly severity as even slight variations conditions affect value detection. It also clearly improves substantially number branches or collaborating users increase. This improvement substantial moderate severe practically full compensation latter cases.
