摘要: Background The prevalence of both obesity and allergic disease has increased among children over the last several decades. Previous literature on relationship between been inconsistent. It is not known whether systemic inflammation could be a factor in this relationship. Objective We sought to examine association with total allergen-specific IgE levels allergy symptoms US adolescents assess role C-reactive protein. Methods National Health Nutrition Examination Survey data from 2005-2006 included measurement questions. Overweight was defined as 85th or greater less than 95th percentile body mass index for age, greater. Linear logistic regression models were used weight categories levels, atopy, youth aged 2 19 years. Results Geometric mean higher obese (geometric ratio, 1.31; 95% CI, 1.10-1.57) overweight (ratio, 1.25; 1.02-1.54) normal-weight children. odds ratio (OR) atopy (any positive specific measurement) compared that seen those normal weight; driven largely by sensitization foods (OR 1.26 [95% 1.03-1.55]; OR food sensitization, 1.59 1.28-1.98]). protein associated sensitization. Conclusions Obesity might contributor children, particularly allergy. Systemic play development disease.
