摘要: The ability to control encoding and retrieval processes strategically is critical for the efficient use of memory. We examined younger older adults selectively remember words on basis their arbitrary point values by using a technique developed Watkins Bloom (1999). In first three experiments, subjects recalled more than did subjects, but an independent index recall selectivity showed that were apparently successful in selecting higher valued words. However, fourth experiment this superior part was attributable greater proportional reliance primary memory recall. Overall, data suggest although fewer do adults, they exert as much over some aspects encoding.
