摘要: The problem of good wear resistance coupled with low friction coefficient has been studied extensively. Carbide-derived carbon (CDC) films have demonstrated to show excellent and properties in air. the present work, we examine effect humidity on tribological behavior CDC prepared under various experimental conditions. We produced by high temperature chlorination sintered silicon carbide, characterized them Raman microspectroscopy nanoindentation, carried out pin-ondisk tests air dry nitrogen (0% humidity) using nitride counterbodies. Our results indicate that CDC, unlike graphite or glassy carbon, does not fail environments. Moreover, it performs better than humid laboratory coating SiC can work for hours showing less 0.05. Chlorination conditions surface condition test piece are other important parameters performance. These coatings may be used dynamic seals applications.
