Optimal siting of TCSC for reducing congestion cost by using shadow prices

摘要: As competition is introduced in the electricity supply industry, congestion becomes a more important issue. Congestion transmission network occurs due to an operating condition that causes limit violations on capacities. leads inefficient use of system or additional costs (congestion cost). One way reduce this inefficiency cost (CC) control flow through installation thyristor controlled series capacitor (TCSC). This paper also deals with optimal siting TCSC for reducing CC by using shadow prices. A performance index defined as combination line sensitivities and The proposed algorithm applied sample two conditions: one concerning quadratic functions, other bidding functions. Test results show minimize algorithm.
