APPLICATION OF LANDSAT IMAGERY TO SHORELINE EROSION

摘要: Landsat imagery from a 5-year time span has been used to study water circulation patterns on Croatan Sound and Pamlico Sound, North Carolina, as the relate erosion of mainland shoreline. Evidence probable attack by sound waters shoreline correlated with recent aerial photographic erosion. Approximately one-half images in showed evidence upon each serveral points studied. imagery, its repetitive nature together accumulated images, provides relatively inexpensive tool for rapid evaluation potential along shores estuaries. /Author/
