摘要: There is a fair amount of evidence that suggests Internet access from wirelessly-connected mobile handheld devices gaining popularity. However, there haven’t been too many studies have focused solely on analyzing the wireless Internet. In this paper, we study notification and browse services provided by large commercial web site designed specifically for users who it via their cell-phones PDAs. Unlike previous analyzed over wired networks, focus primarily channels. Specifically, analyze browser traces to understand system load, type content accessed, user behavior. We discuss implications our findings techniques such as multicast, query caching optimization, transport protocol design.
