摘要: Abstract Leukocyte populations within the kidney, spleen, posterior intestine and gills of Atlantic halibut were investigated using a panel histological, enzyme- immunohistochemical methods. In kidney diverse population leukocytes was associated with extensive network sinusoids larger blood vessels present in these tissues. IgM+ cells (B-cells, plasma IgM-bearing macrophages) large mononuclear showing reactivity for non-specific esterase (NSE) acid phosphatase (ACP), representing macrophage populations, often vessel walls that also site trapping fluorescent microspheres. 0.1 0.5 μm diameter microspheres occurred at sites but 0.1 μm retained ellipsoids. The lymphoid tissues spleen possessed spread 5′-nucleotidase+ (5′N+) compartmentalisation splenic white pulp suggested by an absence 5′N+ reticular areas melanomacrophage accumulations rich cells. A striking feature mucosal diversity leukocyte epithelium particularly intestine, including NSE+, ACP+ Although limited numbers more common than lamina propria. gills, as detected enzymatic scarce, very abundant stratified gill arch filaments. difference distribution between intestines immune system need to assess immunological competence halibut.
