Retarded multipole interactions in crystals: a continuum model summation

摘要: A continuum model is presented for the evaluation in real space of lattice sums phase-modulated retarded multipole interactions finite crystals. The validity first established by showing that it produces same results dipole-dipole interaction as Ewald and planewise methods summation, both crystals different shape a number structures. then used to evaluate higher crystals, up including octopole-octopole interaction.
