摘要: This chapter describes the current methods for assessing usual energy needs of an individual, and summarizes national recommendations on intake using extracts from Dietary Reference Intakes (DRI) publication macronutrients. Energy requirement individual is defined in Food Nutrition Board as “the dietary that predicted to maintain balance a healthy adult age, gender, weight, height, level physical activity consistent with good health.” Thus, requirements are equal total expenditure (TEE) weight-maintaining individuals. TEE sum expended different metabolic processes activity, three main components being typically defined: basal rate (BMR), arousal (EEPA), thermic effect feeding (TEF). The alternative approach estimating summarizing measurements determined doubly labeled water method groups individuals normal body weight. Equations developed statistical modeling now exist predicting estimated activity. Other factors such genetic inheritance, racial origin, climate also exert some influence requirements, weight-maintenance needs.
