摘要: For marine carbonates, an overwhelming amount of information exists in a variety specialized journals addressing geochemistry and carbon cycling, as well many books summarizing the state knowledge on this topic. Therefore it would be far beyond scope chapter to try completely review what is known about calcareous sediments their diagenesis. On other hand, although intensively investigated since previous century (e.g. Murray 1897), carbonates have gained increasing attention by biologists, geochemists, paleoceanographers paleoclimatologists over last three decades. Among reasons because together with oceanic CO2-carbonic acid-system, act sink or source within global cycle which has become key topic investigation modelling related role greenhouse gas CO future climate change.
