摘要: Using the basic summary of urban structure given by population density function this paper estimates changes which have occurred in Detroit [Michigan] metropolitan area during past two decades. Both overall and direction-specific are estimated using census data method cubic spline regression. The results give more revealing insight into structural city than has been possible with traditional models density. (EXCERPT)
