摘要: Abstract This paper presents new experimental data of the erosion rate and sediment transport during processes dam break caused by overtopping. In order to study headcut migration, coefficient was calculated its peak value determined near downstream edge crest. Then characteristics vertical were analyzed dividing into three regions: upstream region, middle region. The regions show different features but all are exposed most intense at third stage process. Finally, relevant parameters affecting discussed: length crest, inner slope, composition. results that a longer crest flatter slope reduce prolong arrival time rate; with increase non-uniformity S , initially increases, then decreases.
