摘要: Nd:YAG is a well-known laser material typically grown from the melt using Czochralski (CZ) method, and like many other doped materials melt, it suffers dopant segregation, giving an average Nd concentration in crystal (Nd%) far less than that with variation along growth axis. Here, segregation issue addressed by successful implementation of Accelerated Crucible Rotation Technique (ACRT) CZ. Compared to conventional CZ, ACRT provided improved uniformity, higher incorporation, control Nd% axis, even achieving initial overall melt. also affects solid/liquid interface shape thus radial segregation. It shown mixing provides promising for unconventional profiles CZ crystals.
