Captive for Life examines these questions through the lens of conservation biology’s ex situ models captive management — and breeding in particular wild animals, especially species that have been designated as Critically Endangered or Extinct Wild. Drawing on interviews with leading biologists, chapter describes erosion distinctions between nature, often referred among experts conservation.
