摘要: Furnace bottom ash (FBA) is a by-product from thermal power plants. Unlike its companion, pulverised fuel (PFA), FBA has coarse particle size, higher water absorption and usually no pozzolanic effect. Therefore, it dumped in landfill sites. Past recycle attempts of have been mainly focused on using blocks, highway embankments, subgrades, sub-bases structural fills. However, this may still be source environmental contamination by way leached trace elements. A previous investigation carried out the authors indicated that would potential fine aggregate concrete.
