摘要: We study the vertical extent of propeller structures in Saturn’s rings. Our focus lies on gap region and non-inclined moonlets. In order to describe structure propellers we extend model Spahn Srem cevi c (2000) include direction. nd that gravitational interaction ring particles with moonlet does not induce considerable excursions particles, but causes a thermal motion plane. expect particle collisions partly convert lateral induced into particles. For propeller, calculate averaged heights 0.7 Hill radii, which is radius. our height decreases exponentially until viscous heating collisional cooling balance. estimate radii 370m 615m for Earhart Bl eriot. predicts about 120km azimuthal at 2009 equinox, being consistent values determined from Cassini images.
