摘要: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs) induced enteropathy represents an important complication of one the most commonly used drugs worldwide. Due to previous diagnostics difficulties real prevalence this disease was underestimated for a long time. The pathogenesis NSAID-enteropathy is more multifactorial and complex than formerly assumed but has still not been fully uncovered. A combination local systemic effect plays role in pathogenesis. Thanks novel enteroscopy methods (wireless capsule endoscopy, double balloon enteroscopy), small bowel lesions are described substantial section NSAID users although clinically asymptomatic. other non-invasive tests (small permeability, faecal calprotectin, scintigraphy using excretion 111-indium-labelled leukocytes etc.) proposed generally clinical practice, mainly because their non-specificity. Despite intensive research into possible treatment, main measure patients with withdrawal NSAIDs. Double treatment complications (bleeding, strictures).
