摘要: Within the federal government ‘Closing Gap’ policy context this paper reports on local entrepreneurial activities by Yolngu people in East Arnhem Land Northern Territory. Particular attention is directed to members of Rirratjingu clan town Yirrkala. We describe how a social enterprise offer pathways for creation income, employment and capital within community where protection cultural vitality integrity axiomatic. The findings point need more flexible approaches, enable establishment growth Indigenous business outside economic mainstream. echo calls literature support what has been described as ‘hybrid economy’, which allows participation both activities.
