PdAu and PdAuAg composite membranes for hydrogen separation from synthetic water-gas shift streams containing hydrogen sulfide

摘要: Abstract Electroless deposition was used to fabricate Pd–23Au and Pd–20Au–13Ag (wt%) membranes on Pall AccuSep ® ZROD supports. The weight gain compositions of each film were corroborated with XRF analysis, EDS XRD after testing. annealed in a H 2 atmosphere at temperatures 773 K higher. alloy membrane had higher single-gas permeability than pure Pd comparable support. In mixture 20 ppm S 689.5 kPa feed pressure, the permeance less inhibited 723 or 673 K. Both tested sour WGS containing S. 29% flux inhibition 1.1 MPa which is one best reported for composite PdAu gas Although reduced more membrane, it absolute mixture. Once removed from gas, recovered least 97% its original value before exposure both 673 773 K. After testing, sulfides not detected using XRD.
