摘要: Abstract Objectives Prostate-specific antigen (PSA), the most useful tumor marker for prostate cancer, is one of three members human kallikrein family serine proteases. PSA and glandular (hK2, previously called hGK-1) share extensive homology are both produced in under androgen control. Our goals were to use molecular modeling techniques generate models tertiary structure hK2 compare their features areas using these models. Methods Models generated by extrapolating from available cristallographic coordinates amino acid sequences homologous protease standard comparative methods. Results Porcine (57% homology) rat tonin (53% used as templates PSA. (67% was a template hK2. The superimposed define regions nonhomology between Conclusions Three-dimensional protein generated. These have potential uses analyzing antigen-antibody interactions, inhibitor complexes hK2, furthering our understanding interactions involved clinical detection
