Is Back Pain Increasing? Results from National Surveys in Finland during 1978/9–1992

摘要: The development in the prevalence of back pain, diseases diagnosed by a physician, and joint pain were studied Finland during period 1978/9-1992. data consisted annual surveys representative national samples (n = 5000) 15-64 year old Finns. effects sex, age-group, study on proportions those with disorder logistic regression analyses. All prevalences increased age. Symptoms more common among women. rates symptoms remained stationary through time period. There further no systematic changes diseases. lower levels from 1985 onwards probably because change questionnaire layout, two periods modelled separately. Possible reasons for discrepancy between present results previous are discussed.
