摘要: PURPOSE: To systematically review clinical studies on prosthodontic complication rates of implant fixed dental prostheses in edentulous patients after an observation period at least 5 years. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A literature search was conducted using different electronic databases. Specific terms were used for the database search, which spanned years 1990 to 2008. The augmented by option "related articles" as well hand searching references and relevant journals. Relevant selected according predetermined inclusion exclusion criteria. Agreement between reviewers determined Cohen kappa coefficients. RESULTS: initial yielded 8,216 titles. Following filtering process, 19 finally selected. No study directly compared incidence complications complete implant-supported metal-ceramic versus metal-acrylic resin completely patient. Studies scarce short term. CONCLUSION: Metal-acrylic presented with various long-term function. most frequent veneer fracture material wear.
