摘要: Abstract Introduction Anticoagulant therapy is the standard treatment of venous thrombo-embolism (VTE). Permanent inferior vena cava (IVC) filter an important adjunctive in these patients to prevent complications like potentially fatal pulmonary embolism and chronic thrombo-embolic hypertension. We studied with proximal deep vein thrombosis (DVT) lower limbs recurrent (PTE), who were put on permanent IVC filters for prevention further episodes PTE. The efficacy PTE was assessed by clinical history supported follow-up 99m Tc-MAA lung perfusion scintigraphy. Methods results prospectively enrolled 7 PTE, from July 2002–April 2005. All had scan before implantation. Percutaneous placement infra-renal position done. adequate oral anticoagulant target INR 2.0–3.0. At two died — one intractable right heart failure at 6 months other carcinoma colon metastasis after 16 months. mean rest five 3.5 years (range 20–54 months), none them clinically evident episode DVT or Their repeat 1 year showed marked improvement no evidence additional fresh/new defects. Conclusion Follow-up patients, are filter, can demonstrate significant secondary resolution thrombus continued therapy.
