摘要: Lactobacillus rhamnosus strain GG (LGG) has been studied extensively as a probiotic in humans. However, the ability of an organism to survive passage through intestinal tract and exert beneficial effects cannot be directly extrapolated between species. This study evaluated LGG gastrointestinal transit dogs assessed whether oral administration is safe, order determine studies evaluating efficacy treatment canine disease are indicated. Dogs were divided into 5 groups receiving doses 0 (control group, n = 4), 1 × 109 (group 1, 8), 1010 2, 3, 8) 1011 4, 4) colony forming units per day, orally, for days. was detected feces 4/8 5/8 group 4/4 0/4 control group. Fecal colonization significantly greater 4 than any other (P < 0.001). Differences 3 not significant. No adverse noted. somewhat variable; however, clinical indicated evaluate this prevention disease.
