Factors Affecting Social Support Status of People Living with HIV/AIDS at Selected Hospitals of North Shewa Zone, Amhara Region, Ethiopia.

摘要: Background. Globally, millions of people are affected by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Acquired was linked with psychosocial problems, whereby stigma and discrimination the most common. Therefore, this study aimed at assessing level social support problem in living (PLHIV) factors associated it selected hospitals North Shewa Zone, Amhara Region, Ethiopia. Method. An institution-based cross-sectional design employed. A total 422 PLHIV were involved study. multidimensional perceived scale (MPSSS) for measurement problems implemented. Systematic random sampling used to recruit population after selecting areas lottery methods. Multivariate logistic regression analyses performed via SPSS software. The statistical association declared a p value less than 0.05 final model. Result. prevalence poor among participants 12.6%. Poor adherence their antiretrovirus drugs highly (AOR = 2.06, 95% CI: 1.36, 3.13). Moreover, psychological distress (AOR = 4.67, 2.02, 10.81) (AOR = 1.78, 1.18, 2.70) positively associated. Conclusion. burden is increasingly affecting lives PLHIV. more magnified adherence, having distress, stigma.
