摘要: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogen that uses malonate among its many carbon sources. We recently reported that, when grown in blood from trauma patients, P. expression of utilization genes was upregulated. In this study, we explored the role and contribution to virulence. grew strain PA14 M9 minimal medium containing (MM9) or glycerol (GM9) as a sole source assessed effect growth on quorum sensing, virulence factors, antibiotic resistance. Growth MM9, compared GM9, reduced production elastases, rhamnolipids, pyoverdine; enhanced pyocyanin catalase; increased sensitivity norfloxacin. MM9 decreased extracellular levels N-acylhomoserine lactone autoinducers, likely associated with pH culture medium; but had little PQS. At 18 hr formed biofilm-like structures aggregates were biomineralization, which related medium. These results suggest significantly impacts pathogenesis by influencing sensing systems, biofilm formation,
