Hydrogenation of citral to citronellol over Ni−Cr2O3

摘要: Sodium carbonate added during citral hydrogenation to citronellol on Ni−Cr2O3 in C2−C5 alcohols increases the yield 95%. According microcalorimetric measurements, conclusion is drawn that sodium adsorbs surface of metallic nickel, thus influencing adsorbability with respect various unsaturated groups and selectivity. A correlation between hydrogen solubility alcohol solvent attainment zero order pressure range 2–10 MPa reported.
