摘要: Abstract Objectives. To compare the amount of weight-bearing activity and estimates cumulative plantar tissue stress between subjects with without diabetes mellitus a history recurrent ulcers. Design. Cross-sectional study matched groups. Background . Weight-bearing among individuals is likely to influence mechanical trauma accumulated by tissues, yet levels have not been accounted for in previous measurements or predictions injury. Methods. Study groups included peripheral neuropathy, either ulcers, non-diabetic control ( n =10 per group). Pressure on foot was assessed as walked at their preferred speed shoes they reported wearing most often each day. Physical monitored over seven consecutive days using an accelerometer. The product mean daily strides forefoot pressure-time integral used estimate forefoot. Results Subjects ulcers were 46% less active than (mean (SD)=2727 (1345) versus 5037 (2624) strides/day, P =0.04), 41% diabetic (SD)= 210 (134) 354 (118) (148) MPa s/day respectively, =0.03). Conclusions. may be susceptible injury even relatively low stress. Relevance Changes following patients adaptation risk ulcer recurrence.
