摘要: Peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing worms are becoming a deadly security threat to P2P systems. The defense that just relies on the improvement of users' awareness and their individual recoveries is not adequate. Existing automated patching systems such as Microsoft Windows Update Symantec Security also necessarily best fits in combat with worms, because inconsistency between jurisdiction these propagation community worms. In this paper, deep understanding characteristic inspiration more rapid contagion we propose complementary contagion-like patch dissemination mechanism which utilizes existing infrastructure timely disseminate patches participating peers file downloading. addition, digital signature scheme introduced prevent malicious tampering process. Through epidemiological model extensive packet-level simulations demonstrate effectiveness proposed mechanism.
