摘要: Coastal ecosystems are increasingly faced with human impacts. To better understand these changing conditions, biophysical and economic values of nature have been used to prioritize spatial planning efforts ecosystem-based management activities. Less is known, however, about how characterize represent non-material in decision-making. We collected on-site mailback survey data (n = 209), analyzed using the Social Values for Ecosystem Services (SolVES) GIS application incorporate measures social value natural resource conditions on Hinchinbrook Island National Park, Australia. Our objectives this paper to: 1) determine distribution point density ecosystem services; 2) examine relationship between conditions; 3) compare allocations two subgroups outdoor recreationists. Results suggest that high priority areas exist Hinchinbrook's land seascapes according multiple assigned places by recreationists engaged consumptive (e.g., fishing) non-consumptive hiking) statistically significant clustering across population three types reflect Recreation, Biological Diversity, Aesthetic qualities. The relative importance services spatially-defined ecological explored guide decision-making context an island national park setting.
