摘要: Abstract The flame-turbulence interaction in a premixed 0.75-equivalence-ratio rod-stabilized propane-air flame was investigated using an instantaneous Rayleigh scattering method. experimental technique permitted the structure of to be evaluated independently flame-front oscillations, thereby providing means estimating effect movement on measured statistical turbulence characteristics flame. measurements show that thickness is essentially constant with downstream distance and same order magnitude as laminar thickness. Flame-front movements are found largely responsible for high values density fluctuation intensities time-averaged nature reaction profile spatial change increased from flameholder. Comparison fluctuations those predicted by Bray-Moss-Libby model indicates breakup influences assumed probability distribution functions theoretical models.
