摘要: This article summarizes key advances in hypnosis research during the past two decades, including (i) clinical supporting efficacy of for managing a number symptoms and conditions, (ii) role various divisions anterior cingulate prefrontal cortices hypnotic responding, (iii) an emerging finding that high suggestibility is associated with atypical brain connectivity profiles. Key recommendations agenda next decade include laboratory researchers should strongly consider how they assess their studies, inclusion study participants who score middle range suggestibility, use expanding designs more clearly delineate roles inductions specific suggestions. Finally, we make suggestions helping to move field forward data sharing redirecting resources away from contrasting state nonstate positions toward studying (a) treatments conditions influenced by central nervous system processes (b) neurophysiological underpinnings phenomena. As learn about mechanisms underlying suggestion, will strengthen our knowledge both basic functions host different psychological functions.
