Using the Phoebe Pedagogic Planner to Enhance Student Learning and Engagement in Undergraduate Psychology Courses

摘要: This chapter presents a case study of the ways Phoebe pedagogic planner assists faculty to design and select e-learning technology because “it's not technology, but [quality] educational experience that affects learning” (Seltz, 2010, p. 1). Faculty applied guidance from evaluate various interactive media options for undergraduate psychology courses enhance student learning engagement. The authors discuss application instructional in Introduction Psychology, Cross-cultural Human Motivation Emotion courses. These projects were prompted by earlier work (Hager & Clemmons, 2010) explored collaboration promote integration traditional new technologies include discussion forums; online simulations, cases assessments; text-to-poll; Moodle management system (LMS). Current theories are analyze critique these projects, concluding with recommendations future research, practice, development incorporate technologies. demonstrate how learner-centered among faculty, researchers, administrators can shape improve engagement develop institutional cultures e-learning.
