摘要: Abstract Solid state ion conductors exhibiting fast dynamics are of utmost importance for the development modern energy storage systems or sensors. For realization fluoride batteries (FIBs), that is, relying on F− ions as charge carriers, materials with fluorine anion needed. Here we used high-energy ball milling to incorporate BaF2 into tysonite structure LaF3 and studied by both broadband impedance 19F nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. The nanocrystalline solid solution formed revealed increased conductivity compared pure LaF3. Apart from formation F vacancies through aliovalent substitution, increase in is also stimulated introduction lattice strain high degree local disorder produced. While long-range has been recently, less information known about hopping processes which NMR spin-lattice relaxation sensitive. In this work, tried correlate short-range diffusion transport properties measured Additionally, electrochemical polarization cyclic voltammetry judge whether ternary shows a sufficiently stability work FIBs.
