摘要: Abstract An alternative additive that improves the nutrient use by ruminants and reduces of antibiotics is desirable in order to promote a sustainable ecological animal production. The objective study was evaluate supplementation live yeast ( Saccharomyces cerevisiae ) diets finishing lambs fed with different concentrate levels on their performance, carcass traits, metabolic profile eating pattern. trial carried out at Institute Animal Science Pastures , Nova Odessa city, Brazil, 24 Texel lambs, 18.0 Kg±1.14 Kg initial weight, averaging 70 days-old, kept individual pens. animals were comprising hay rations two proportions (80 or 60%, DM basis), supplemented not yeast. A completely randomized blocks design, 2×2 factorial arrangement (2 presence absence yeast), used compare means. Supplementation did affect P >0.05) intake, feed conversion, daily weight gain, total gain final although it increased cold =0.0135) external length =0.0104) regardless proportion diet. On yeasts modify dressing percentage, compactness index, leg length, chest depth, buttock circumference, fat cover score, conformation score. Lambs greater level (80%) significantly degree score conformation. decreased plasmatic lactate glucose, reduced glucose lactate. improve rib eye dimensions subcutaneous thickness measured ultrasound. diet had smaller
