摘要: Objectives: Studies on the impact of illness work productivity are important to rationally allocate healthcare resources and design programs mitigate these effects. This investigation was conducted develop apply daily measures episodes, collect subjective objective data performance impacts. Medical bill reviewers completed responses a questionnaire about headache manifestations, severity, speed using interactive voice response (IVR). Of 134 eligible enrolled subjects, 117 (86%) provided at least 30 reports over 3 months. Their were matched difficulty-adjusted measures: output, time system, productivity. Respondents clinically classified as migraineurs (n = 56), other disorders 47), or having no disorder 14). Each episode migraine nonmigraine based reported manifestations. Results: The three groups similar in variety demographic factors, mean subject-specific speed, In multivariate model general estimating equations, only severity (not type person-specific diagnosis) found be associated with significant decrement self-reported (approximately 20%) much greater than actual measured effect 8%). Intensive diary collection by IVR symptoms is feasible. However, analysis detailed can complex, unmeasured sources variance. Severity may more determinant specific diagnosis. Future studies episodes should measure informal accommodations that enable employees compensate for episodic illnesses.
