摘要: The formation of a morphologically distinct outer cell layer or protoderm is one the first and probably most important steps in patterning plant embryo. Here we report isolation ZmOCL1 (OCL for layer), member HDGL2 (also known as HD-ZIP IV) subclass plant-specific homeodomain proteins from maize. transcripts are detected very early embryo development, before visible, expression then becomes localised to it develops. Subsequently, observed L1 both developing primary root shoot meristems, maintained leaves floral organs. We propose that ZMOCL1 may play role specification identity within embryo, organisation primordium maintenance apical meristem. also show different another epidermal marker gene, LTP2 (lipid transfer protein) and, complementary Kn1 (Knotted) which transcribed only underlying layers.
