摘要: In this study, Poecilia sphenops (gold mollies) were chronically exposed to low pH that mimic those found in natural environments, e.g., rivers and lakes. The placed two separate aquaria with levels of 5 6 presented a different chemically mediated behavioral challenge locating the food source. results indicated under had difficulties odor source at same time their swimming speed greatly reduced. failure by locate reduced can have negative impact on survival fish introducing high probability starvation. If are starved, it means even reproduction rate will be reduced, while juveniles growth arrested conditions acidification. addition this, since fish’s is also impaired, that, they unable run away from predators once found. combination starvation could negatively gold mollies severely. Their fitness would compromised.
