摘要: The incidental findings of increased alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate amino transferase (AST) after uneventful laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) prompted us to investigate the incidence clinical significance this phenomenon. Changes in liver function test LC (n = 55) were compared with those OC 16). Liver tests obtained preoperatively postoperatively on days 1, 2, 7. All patients fulfilled selection criteria: normal preoperative no endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, common bile duct exploration, or postoperative biliary complications (injury, infection, obstruction). Converted cholecystectomies also excluded. During LC, intra-abdominal pressure was maintained within conventional range 14 15 mm Hg. ALT had doubled first 48 hours from mean 58.2 per cent versus only 6.3 group. AST value 38.2 group By 7th day, enzymes returned values both In many instances, a significant increase blood levels occurred LC. phenomenon is transient as these 7 days. These changes are clinically silent function.
