摘要: Feline platelets are larger than of many other species. The following parameters were examined in 13 normal cats an attempt to determine a reason for the difference: platelet count, mean volume (MPV), mass and ploidy mature megakaryocytes. Average ± SEM count was 213 000 15000/μl, MPV 11.1 0.2 fl, 2.4 × 106 fl/μl. predominant classes feline megakaryocytes 32N (41.6%) 64N (47.1%). These findings compared existing data from dogs, rabbits, mice. species exhibited progressively higher counts (313 28 000, 568 ±35000, 1328 79 000/μl, respectively) smaller MPVs (7.2 0.2, 4.4 0.1 3.9 cats. Platelet same cats, dogs but it much mice (5.2 0.3 fl/μl) modal megakaryocyte 16N rabbits. directly related fully except when comparing rabbits which differed, distributions did not. suggested that may be one determinants size number will produce during haemopoiesis.
