High-pressure specific-heat spectroscopy at the glass transition in o -terphenyl

摘要: Measurements of the enthalpy relaxations in liquid orthoterphenyl supercooled state have been carried out using specific-heat spectroscopy over frequency range from 2 Hz to 6.3 kHz, as a function temperature and pressure. The observed \ensuremath{\alpha}-relaxation peaks phase complex specific heat show increasing relaxation times \ensuremath{\tau} with pressure at constant temperature, similar divergence when calorimetric glass ${\mathit{T}}_{\mathit{g}}$ is approached by lowering dependence measured mean \ensuremath{\tau}\ifmmode\bar\else\textasciimacron\fi{} near are remarkable agreement those found other spectroscopic methods compared an extended Vogel-Fulcher-Tammann law. However, we find different scaling transition cooling or This suggests that assumption simple volume-activated process not adequate.
