摘要: We study the oscillatory thermal dynamics of a high-Q PDMS-coated silica microtoroid both experimentally and theoretically. demonstrate that competing thermo-optic effects in PDMS lead to thermally-induced self-modulation transmission spectra. A dynamical model is built using coupled-mode theory analyze oscillation behaviors. Effects input power, taper-cavity air gap wavelength scanning speed on behaviors are investigated with detailed comparison between experiments.
