摘要: High-temperature superconductivity exists in layered, square-planar cuprates, but is almost absent most other Cu I compounds and Ag" Au compounds. Valence state II quite unusual silver gold often disproportionates to valence states III ("negative-U compounds"). The two-electron difference oxidation suggestive of electron pairing, a prerequisite for superconductivity. In the present paper connection between disproportionation geometrical structure on one hand discussed by using accepted theory mixed complexes. It concluded that absence can be connected instability large equilibrium geometry III.
