摘要: Charging effects resulting from adsorption of acid, acid anions, and protons on titania (anatase) surfaces in anhydrous or mixed alcohol-water dispersions is summarized. The suddenly enhanced conductivity as compared to titania-free solutions has previously been modeled explained surface-induced electrolytic dissociation (SIED) weak acids. This model recently published results identifying concurrent liquid (solvent) (SILD) are evaluated with experimentally determined pH solutions, zeta-potential particles, viscosity dispersions. Titania (0-25wt%)-alcohol (methanol, ethanol, propanol) (0-100wt%) water were acidified oxalic, phosphoric, sulfuric It was found that the experimental could many cases be condensed master curves representing extensive results. These reveal major properties systems appear within three concentration regions different mechanisms (SILD, dissociation; SIAD, dissociation) charge rearrangement simultaneously active.
