摘要: Severe corrosion of epoxy coated rebar in the substructure 5 major marine bridges Florida Keys was detected after only a few years construction. Corrosion occurred underneath coating and preceded by loss adherence between steel coating. Damage surveys bridges, which were built around 1980, conducted from 1986 to 2000. resulted delaminated areas (spalls) typically about 0.3 m each. After Initial detection, damage has been steadily accumulating at rate approximately 0.1 spall per bridge pier (bent) year. An initiation-propagation model for development reproduced observed trends. The exploratory assumes distribution chloride diffusivity, cover, surface concentration, propagation time. Interpretation results suggests that much early stemmed with high levels distress, depends mainly on stage corrosion.
