摘要: Abstract The effect of a bilberry extract (BE, 25% anthocyanins) against oxidative damage in primary cultures rat hepatocytes, induced by tert -butyl hydroperoxide and allyl alcohol, was investigated. BE displayed cytoprotective effects at 100 500 μg/ml the MTT viability test. It protected cells lactate dehydrogenase leakage lipoperoxidation products formation. Maximum protection (58%) noted using intoxication alcohol. observed is probably due to antioxidant properties its constituents, mainly anthocyanins. scavenged DPPH (IC 50 3.99 ± 0.14 μg/ml) enzymatically generated superoxide radical with an activity equivalent 108 ± 7.2 U dismutase per mg extract. Our results support use extracts functional foods food supplements designed for prevention chronic diseases associated stress.
